We welcome students from age 5 and up. By this age, children have typically developed the hand size and coordination needed to comfortably hold and play the guitar. Our instructors adapt their teaching methods to suit each young student’s physical capabilities and learning style.

While you’ll eventually need a guitar for home practice, you can use our guitars during your trial lesson. After starting lessons, we can provide expert guidance on selecting the right size and type of guitar for you or your child, whether to rent or buy, and which brands offer the best value for beginners.

Guitar size is crucial for comfortable learning. We recommend:
– Ages 5-9: 1/2 or 3/4 size guitar
– Ages 9-11: 3/4 size guitar
– Ages 12+: Full size guitar
Our teachers can provide specific recommendations during your trial lesson.

We teach a variety of styles including:

Beginners typically start with fundamental techniques that apply to all styles before specializing in their preferred genre.
